OPINION: A Great Global Shift in Progress

WRITTEN by  Michael Corthell  A great global shift is currently upon us, but because "the end of the world" is often the phrase most often used to describe this paradigm shift, I will refute that by strongly stating that the world is not ending. However, having said that, I will also firmly state that there is an ending, and that is the end of one age and the beginning of another. That is a paradigm shift of the first order.''  —John Shelby Spong For simplicity's sake I will call it the ending of the age of Pisces, and the beginning of the age of Aquarius, since most people are familiar with those terms. We've come to understand that this is not some vision or warning of a great, horrifying apocalypse, or of Judgment Day. This great and ordered change is in the energies available to us, and is the next step in humanity's divine evolution. The beginning of the Age of Pisces was heralded by humankind's Savior, Jesus Christ (God incarnate). This era or age, also known as the 'church age' will come to an end with the arrival of the Aquarian Age, as humanity begins its entrance into the spiritual age.  Jesus Christ did his work during the age of Pisces, the sign of the Fishes. We can easily see the effect of these potent energies, as several of His teaching (and miracles) were centered on fish. The fish symbol is now used by many Christian denominations. Aquarius (meaning water-bearer) is of course the water sign. In divine symbolism water is spiritually cleansing, so we may expect that the coming spiritual age will be a time of 'washing the human spirit'. (removing the curse) The evolutionary work of the age of Pisces was the lifting up of our base animal nature to that of our divine souls. Jesus Christ, in the Piscean Age, has shown us the way and the blending of soul with form, and this has produced the incarnate God, (Jesus) in all of us, we need only to have Faith and acceptance.  ''The things that happened to those people are examples. They were written to be warnings for us. We live in the time that all those past histories were pointing to.''  —1 Corinthians 10:11 The energies of Piscean age will fade, as did the foundational energies of Aries(symbolizing conflict,war) some 2200 years ago when we moved into Pisces at the time of God's incarnation as Jesus Christ. Now, as we are entering the spiritual age of Aquarius, more and more people are becoming fully conscious beings, and as *people of service are aware of this great paradigm shift. This awareness is allowing us to prepare and to work with this very powerful spiritual energy. The key hallmarks of this change and our entrance into the spiritual age (Aquarius) will be: 1. Selfless Service 2. Cooperative Work 3. Positive Mindset In this new age we will become spiritual beings having a human experience, instead of human beings living a worldly experience. This shift in global human consciousness will be the spirit, the mind and the body functioning as one soul that is not separated from God, humanity and all life. *What is God's purpose in us? Performing service of and for the spirit in all life. Service is the embodiment of love and kindness. Kindness is love in action.
