What is Your Definition of Hell?

No chance, only choice.

WRITTEN by Michael Corthell

For many of us the definition of hell is very simple; hell is a place where there is very little wisdom and understanding, as well as a place of no compassion, and no love.

All of us have been to hell. Some have been there, for their entire lives. Others take long visits, some short jaunts, and some very rarely make an appearance there unless it is by circumstance or by another's wrong doing.

We have all known the heat that is hell. We all know that these personal hells need love and compassion for them to cease to exist.

We all can generate enough love and compassion to transform not only our own hell, but the hells of our neighbors too. The more of God's essence we bring to bear on these situations, the quicker hell fades. We all can do this for our fellow travelers and all sentient life for that matter.

Hell is here, it is everywhere in spirit. It is a place where the soul is separated from God's love.

Hell is in us like a seed. That seed is germinated and watered by negativity and hate. Hate for our own selves at first, and then the hate for others — for all life and even for God.

The secret of course is God's essence, which is of course love — the positive driving out the negative — the light of the truth overcoming darkness.

Transforming hell is a two step process: Love God, and love your fellow beings, that's it. Keeping it just that simple, will ensure your quick escape from that fire.

Hell is indeed a place, and its location is within all of us.

Choose wisely.
